Education system in Singapore

Is no stranger to the Singapore education system is of high quality and for that the Ministry of Education established a standard system of quality assessment. According to local officials and academics, Lee Kwan Yew (Founder of the country) had the vision to turn Singapore into a bilingual country with English speaking and all based on a meritocratic model which states that hierarchical positions are achieved by merit.

This has made their universities they graduate highly qualified and this is reflected in the high results achieved in international assessments. Should be noted that Singapore has an obsession for quality education, so much so that you can see on dollar bills from other countries that show images of Heroes of the past and the two-dollar bill shows a classroom with students listening to the teacher a university in the background and below you can read the word "education". Compulsory education starts in kindergarten at 4 to 6 years after six years of primary school from age 6 to age 12 and ends with four years of high school from 12 to 16.
All this is caused by the absence of natural resources so that the country should focus on developing their most important resource: the human resource. In Singapore, the government has established a Salarian range equal to an engineer for a teacher. Resulting teachers that applicants come from 30% of students with better performance. Below are the results from PISA

  1. It is quite facinating this country, all that I know about it is based on what I hear on the formula 1 races held in there.
The fact that shoked me the most is that has a smaller literate population than Chile, and adding that to the fact that the country is one of the biggest economic powers in the world make it quike shoking
